Practical classroom strategies, meaningful technology integration, and innovative instructional ideas are at the center of the 2026–2027 professional learning opportunities offered by the JCPS Digital Learning Team.
Educators can select learning experiences that align with individual schedules, interests, roles, and professional goals. Opportunities include in-person back-to-school workshops, monthly virtual sessions, district-wide Digital Learning Days, on-demand courses, AI-focused learning, and external professional development.

🍎 Back-to-School Learning Series
Start the School Year Strong
Begin the school year with confidence through in-person professional learning designed to support effective instruction from day one. Sessions will feature practical digital tools, instructional strategies, emerging technologies, and resources that can be applied immediately in the classroom.

10:00 AM — Google Tools: Updates Every Teacher Should Know
Explore important Google Workspace updates and features that can support productivity, collaboration, and classroom instruction.
1:00 PM — Teaching in a Digital World
Examine practical approaches for creating meaningful, responsible, and engaging learning experiences in today’s digital environment.
2:00 PM — Bloom’s Upside Down: Rigor, Cheating, and the AI Shift
Consider how artificial intelligence is changing traditional assumptions about rigor, assessment, academic integrity, and the role of higher-order thinking.
3:00 PM — NCEdConnect Resources
Explore resources and professional learning opportunities available through NCEdConnect.
💡 Tech Tuesdays: A Few of Our Favorite (EdTech) Things
Grow digital-learning skills one session at a time through short, focused virtual sessions. Each month will feature practical tips, new features, classroom ideas, and time-saving strategies connected to the digital tools already used across JCPS.
Sessions will be offered virtually at 7:30 AM, 12:00 PM, and 3:30 PM on the following dates:

🚀 District Digital Learning Days
JCPS Digital Learning Days bring educators together virtually to learn, connect, and innovate. Each event will feature classroom-ready strategies, meaningful technology integration, and multiple session choices.
Educators may attend one session or create a personalized full day of professional learning.
October 19: Harvesting the Power of AI
Growing AI-Ready Learners
Explore practical ways to prepare students for an AI-driven world through responsible, engaging, and meaningful classroom applications of artificial intelligence.
November 3: Gather. Grow. Give Thanks.
Sharing ideas. Strengthening practice. Inspiring classrooms.
Connect with fellow educators while discovering practical digital-learning strategies, meaningful technology tools, and instructional practices that can make an immediate impact.
January 4: Inspired to Innovate
Fresh ideas and meaningful technology to energize teaching and learning
Begin the new semester with engaging instructional strategies, creative classroom ideas, and innovative technology that inspires educators and students.
Digital Learning Days are 100% virtual. Sessions begin every hour from 8:00 AM through 2:00 PM, with multiple choices available during each time block. Continuing education credit will be awarded for every session attended. Registration will open after each event’s session schedule is finalized.
